How does it work?
Each locomotive is equipped with a GPS unit. Dispatcher sends the number of the locomotive to a customer prior to a shipment along with a link to a web page, where the customer can track the current position of the train. The web page for the train tracking is also available on mobile phones with an internet access.
Dispatchers additionally provide customers with a complete customer service. They inform customers about the departure of the train from the starting station, they inform when the train passes points along the routeselected by the customer and they inform about the train's arrival in the final destination.
